Our Team
At our Child University, there are many outstanding individuals who dedicate their efforts to providing the very best for your child.  Our team consists of school Directors, a Director of Quality, a Curriculum Enhancement Director, Lead Teachers, Associate Teachers, Teacher Assistants, and a nurse.  Each and every one of us are always here to help you in any way.
Our Approach
We use a cooperative approach to meeting the needs of parents and their children.  To meet the high standards we have set for ourselves and to adhere to our pledge of providing the very best education in the safest environment, we implement our learning standards through a nationally recognized curriculum.  We use learning centers throughout the classroom to educate children and to allow them to experience age appropriate activities designed just for them.

What’s in a Name?

 

A Safer Start Child University gives parents the peace of mind in knowing that with just a simple click of a button they can see their precious child having fun, interacting with children his or her own age, and learning in a safe environment.  Right from your desk at work, your computer at home, or your laptop from another part of the world, your child is always just a simple click away.  So, you’re probably asking yourself “where did this name come from—A Safer Start?”  Once upon a time, a husband and wife team were determined to create something truly innovative in the field of early learning.  They knew that most parents recognized the necessity of early childhood education, nurturance, and socialization, but many parents often felt a void in not knowing what their young child was actually doing at school.  Or, perhaps the parent felt a little uneasy about not being able to check in on their child whenever they wanted to see what they were up to at any point in the day.  So, combining their unique backgrounds and education, the husband and wife team designed an early learning school that allowed parents to see their child from a password protected web site at any time of the day through any Internet connection. 

 

What is a Child University?

 

Offering parents a secure door access system and the opportunity to see their children online simply isn’t enough.  A Safer Start Child University also uses a curriculum developed from the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum program along with lesson plans aligned with the RI Early Learning Standards and a Child Portfolio program that provides child development assessments and opportunities to adjust the program to the differing needs of each child.  All of these programs and development systems ensure that each child receives the developmental experience necessary to provide them with the best opportunity for a lifetime of continual and successful learning.  For our efforts and commitment to early childhood education, our school has also been honored with National Accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  Only seven percent of early childhood schools in the United States possess this prestigious accreditation.
